Urban Core Art Project launched its Fourth temporary public art project on November 12, 2023.  Internationally-renowned artist, Rachel Hayes, was born in Independence, Missouri, and now lives and works in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after relocating to Tulsa as a Tulsa Artist Fellow in 2017. Hayes received her BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute, and her MFA in Painting from Virginia Commonwealth University. Using fabric to create large-scale work, she is interested in inserting color and form into both built and natural environments. “Reflection Mode” is Hayes first major installation in Tulsa.
